Reasons for sticking to natural fibers

For a long time in the history of clothing, people cherished and loved clothes made from natural materials that could be worn for a long time. However, with the development of synthetic materials that could be mass-produced at low cost, the value and price range of clothing dropped. Instead of expensive and limited natural materials, inexpensive synthetic materials were born that could be produced in unlimited quantities.

As a result of reducing production costs through mass production, the amount of clothing produced has increased significantly, while the period during which it is worn has decreased dramatically. It is also said that 10% of the carbon dioxide emitted by human activities is due to the fashion industry. In addition to incineration, large amounts of carbon dioxide are emitted during the manufacturing and transportation processes. And every year, a huge amount of microfiber (polyester), equivalent to 50 billion PET bottles, is released into the ocean through washing.

Yinyang uses natural materials such as cotton, linen, and hemp, with 5%-10% polyurethane blended in to give the fabric the stretch it needs.

Natural materials have various charms that chemical fibers do not have.

Natural materials have excellent moisture absorption and heat retention properties, allowing you to stay comfortable regardless of the season.

In particular, linen and cotton have hollow fibers that allow for good ventilation, keeping you cool in the summer and trapping air in the winter, providing excellent heat retention.

It also has excellent moisture absorption properties, so it doesn't get stuffy, and its soft texture puts less strain on the skin, making it recommended for those with sensitive skin.

You can enjoy the texture and natural feel of the material, and as the texture changes over time, you can enjoy the changes that occur over time and use it for a long time without getting bored.

The land and nature on which we live are gifts from the Earth that support life and give us abundance.

At Yinyang, we value harmony with nature, so we use materials for our products that include organic cotton that is not grown using chemical fertilizers or pesticides, as well as plant-based rayon, natural linen, and recycled materials.
In addition, to ensure that the yoga wear is comfortable to wear during yoga practice, we use natural materials such as cotton, linen, and hemp, as well as a 5%-10% polyurethane blend to provide elasticity when needed.

Main natural fibers used at Yinyang

Organic Cotton

This refers to cotton that has been grown in accordance with strict standards without the use of chemical fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, or other agricultural chemicals for more than two to three years.
Organic cotton products are produced in a way that minimizes the environmental impact throughout the entire manufacturing process and adheres to social standards such as occupational safety and the avoidance of child labor.

Rayon / Modal

At yinyang, we use rayon made from fibers extracted from beech and eucalyptus leaves, which is characterized by its glossy, smooth feel.
Unlike synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon, it is a regenerated plant fiber made by extracting the cellulose contained in plants, dissolving it, and then regenerating it into a fibrous form.

Linen

It is a natural plant fiber made from the dried stems of flax. Linen is the softest of all hemp varieties, and is smooth and comfortable to the touch.
The thin and durable fabric becomes softer and shinier with use. It is antibacterial, non-allergenic, highly absorbent, quick-drying, and biodegradable, making it an eco-friendly material that can be returned to the soil.

Hemp

Hemp has excellent antibacterial and deodorizing properties among all flaxseeds, and has excellent moisture-regulating properties due to the countless tiny holes in its fibers.
It is an amazing plant that can be grown in a wide range of soils, from cool to temperate and tropical zones, and from poor to fertile. It does not require the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers during cultivation, and all parts of it can be used; it even improves the soil.

EcoN

The EcoN series is smooth to the touch and has good stretch, and is made from eco-conscious Italian material made from recycled nylon.
The high-quality material is highly breathable and quick-drying, without restricting skin breathing, making it comfortable to wear even during sweaty seasons or when practicing yoga, which requires a lot of physical activity.
The EcoN series is tag-free with the brand name and washing instructions printed directly on the product, making it even more comfortable to wear. It is also recommended for water activities such as the beach or pool.
